Robyn established
her own independent full-service consultancy r.taylordesign in 2009. Prior to r.taylordesign, Robyn was a Senior Associate
and member of the senior design leadership with Gensler for over 12 years.
Robyn’s significant project experience in the financial, technology and advertising markets include high-profile
clients such as Christie Digital, Extron, Bank of America, YidaTec (PRC), MSC Software, Powerwave Technologies, IPG, WPP,
Burson-Marsteller, Mindshare, DraftFCB, and The Irvine Company.
Robyn’s
hospitality and restaurant design experience includes projects such as BJ’s Restaurant, Marriott, Wyndham, Worldmark,
Callender, Ramada, Knotts and Islands.
Robyn is sought out for her expertise
in creating unique interior environments that work within the client’s budget and schedule, while providing the often
elusive “Wow Factor” found only in expensive remodels. Her projects have been published in Interiors, Ad Week,
HOW Magazine, Orange County Business Journal, BOMA Office Market Journal and the Orange County Register. Several projects
under her design leadership received the prestigious IIDA Southern California Chapter Calibre Award.
She has been a featured presenter at NeoCON World Trade Fair in Chicago, and NeoCON West in Los Angeles, as well as
a number of regional conferences. Robyn is also sought out as a featured presenter for design programs at key universities
in southern California, and is honored to be a continuing guest lecturer for the Innovation and Creativity Workshop of the
MBA program at the UCI Paul Merage Graduate School of Business.
Robyn has served
as a Vice President for the IIDA in the Southern California region since 2006, and recently retired in July 2011 after six
successful terms on the Board of Directors. She is in her second year as a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the
Interior Architectural Design program at California State University, Long Beach, her alma mater.
